The
Mogul Process
1. We
(you and a Mogul partner) talk about your business, and what's working for you, and what isn't.
Make us understand your
market(s).
Who is your competition? What is the
media saying about them? What are their
strengths and weaknesses?
How have you / do you want to position / differentiate
your product?
Explain current advertising and public relations efforts. What
seems to work and what does not? Why?
Review your existing web site and other marketing material. Do you like it? Does it
work? What do your customers say about it? What five words would people use to describe you?
Together we draw up a prioritized list of marketing
activities / material that will make the most impact.
This is all done in our initial, free consultation.
2. If you feel it is needed, we conduct market research to determine how your target
market likes to buy, what marketing mix has been successful for other companies selling to the same market, what pricing structure makes sense.
Maybe you need a redesigned web site. Perhaps you need a stronger story to increase sales or a better trade show presence. We don't have a "cookie cutter" approach. We want to do what is best for you.
Depending on what we are trying to learn, we may talk to your clients and prospects, to similar businesses, or government entities, or just do online research.
This step is optional, but highly recommended so you can the best return on your marketing investment.
3. We block out
what is needed in a creative brief.
What do we want people to feel when they see your ads?
For
a web site, CD or video, this will block out the general
structure / storyboard.
If we are assisting with strategy or
for simple outsourced projects, this may not be
needed. We just want to make sure that we are on
the same wavelength as the project progresses.
4. You
review a draft of what we've written,
the general web site look and feel, a comp of a couple different design treatments,
select shots.
We
will do this step a few times, until you
are happy. We may do this in person, or via e-mail
or a web site. The great thing with web work is you can watch as work progresses.
5. For web sites, you test the site to make sure it works for you and your clients.
Everything we do is aimed
at growing
your business. We make you look good with
great material delivered on schedule with
no budget surprises. |
